It’s clearly Gigabyte’s turn to launch an “extreme” RTX, after the Asus Matrix and potentially the resurrection of a Lightning card at MSI. A teaser published on social networks by a brand account teases an RTX 5090 scheduled to be unveiled in the coming hours at CES 2026. The company also seems intent on offering a reference in a new category in its catalog.

According to the teaser, Gigabyte is focusing on cutting-edge thermal and aerodynamic engineering, designed to take stability to the next level. The promotional video reveals an unusual shape, probably a four-slot design, incorporating an imposing cylindrical fan. Although the video doesn’t really reveal any details, we can’t help but think strongly of the curves of the ASUS ROG Matrix.
In short, when you look at today’s soaring prices, you have to wonder whether these cards have come out at the right time. Indeed, the memory situation has already begun to have an impact on graphics card prices. The “classic” models are starting to command exorbitant prices in these early hours of 2026, making these products unaffordable for many. As a result, the positioning of “Extreme” models is likely to be particularly dissuasive.
Of course, we’ll be on hand to give you more details on this AORUS card.
