The RTX 5080 is one of the best graphics cards you can get for 4K and raytracing, and it’s a very strong pick for more demanding creative workflows, like working in 3D, for example. Like the RTX 5070 Ti, it features 16GB of new, faster GDDR7 memory, but it has significantly more CUDA cores. Built on Nvidia’s Blackwell architecture, it also boasts improvements to ray tracing performance, thanks to its 4th-gen ray tracing cores, and a dramatic increase in AI capabilities via its new 5th-gen tensor cores, which also power the 50-series exclusive MFG. Ryzen 7 7800X3D processor
This was, and still is to some extent, one of the best gaming CPUs on the market, and is specifically designed for high fps gaming at QHD and 4K. It features AMD’s unique 3D V-cache, which can hold a huge amount of data for quick access, resulting in higher fps and improved 1% lows, and it also has 8 cores and 16 threads, which make it adept at handling heavy multitasking loads, streaming, and running background applications while gaming, without impacting performance. You’ve got 32GB of Corsair Vengeance DDR5 RAM in this build, which is a more budget-friendly option compared to Corsair’s Dominator Titanium RAM found in its top-tier prebuilds. This amount of RAM is essential if you’re playing modern AAA games in 4K, especially if you’re into open-world titles, which can eat up loads of memory just to run. It’s also brilliant for reducing lag and slowdown when working in creative applications, whether that be 3D rendering, photo editing, or video editing, for example. On the storage front, you’ve got a 2TB SSD, which is great, especially with AAA game sizes sometimes coming in at over 100GB.
Things to consider
Corsair gaming PCs are some of the most expensive options out there, and while this one isn’t too bad for an RTX 5080 build, it is quite expensive considering it has an older processor. Most RTX 5080 gaming PCs start at $2,500, usually with an Intel Core Ultra 7-265K processor, but you can easily find an RTX 5080, 9800X3D model for less than $3,000 from pretty much every brand.
